- Jaymz Nylon, One of New York’s favorite sons & godfather of Afro tech, serves up music that is steeped in more traditional African rhythms. Nylon has always immersed himself in genre-bending productions, concocting a heady alchemy of beats that encompass anything from Latin to jazz and, of course, African. All are underscored by a techy, yet soulful groove. Here, Nylon opts for the swirling, surreal melodies of the Motherland. The East Coaster also reveals a very deep, sensitive side to his musical persona, which makes for compelling listening. Jaymz' sound is beautifully constructed and displays a mature side to this talented producer.
