I'm an educational psychologist, writer, lecturer, and jazz musician with a be-bop, post-bop focus. I also love African musical influences and incorporate them in my approach to improvisation and so on.
Influences:
John Coltrane, Yusef Lateef, Jackie McClean, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Bud Powell, Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, Buster Williams, Carlos Garnett, Kenny Garrett, Charles Lloyd, Eric Dolphy, Max Roach, Milt Jackson, and Von Freeman are among the scores of musicians influencing my music.

Brother Kevin, thanks for the greetings and it would be great to get together in Florida, if that comes to fruition. I am slow to get my own stuff out and am mainly an improviser at this point. :-) I've got a few tunes in the skeletal stages and am just taking my time to get them together. When I get one or two tunes done, I'll be sure to make them available. Okay Brother, stay strong on that horn! I'll be in touch again up ahead.
