Profile Information

Location:
Derry, N.Ireland.
About:
Hands On Music, Hearts In Music to Love Your Sound. Thats what 33 years of dancing to music, 29 years of listening to music, 21years of buying music and 10 years of playing music has led us to believe and base our courses on. bOUNCE too www.myspace.com/bouncetoo for evidence of above claims!!

This page is all about the debut mixes. First up, Sketches (17) and Smarts(15) from the Cornshell Community Centre, Derry. We've just completed a short course with the following mixes as our end product!!! Have a listen, all feedback welcome.

From introducing recordings to performing with vinyl to producing records, the Disc Jockey has been with us in various guises for over 100 years. During this perod the DJ has been hugely influential in how music has been written, produced and sold. The DJ's needs have led to the creation of new types of music,(Reggae,) and pushed other genresinto the public domain through the DJ's presence in Radio.(Rock 'N' Roll and Hip Hop.)

The DJ's unquenchable thirst to incorporate new technologies into music gave birth to Disco, House, Techno and Drum 'N' Bass. It is safe to say the DJ is here to stay and therefore time to ask WHATS THIS ALL ABOUT THEN???

Now's the time to find out. Our courses will introduce you to everything from Set Ups to Scratching, Beatmatching to Blending Beats, How To Listen and Love your music.Wether you want to spin for the fun of it, mobilise your Disco, or turn your hobby into your job, no dial will be left unturned as we bOUNCIN2 dJing!!

Below are some of our past participants who have been here, done it and are wearing the t shirts, (our new range out in July...shameless advertising!!)

Testamonies From Teachers, Youth Leaders and Participants.....
"As someone who organises these things I'd have to say that your enthusiasm and love of music is your best asset. It's what hooks them and keeps them interested. You are also straight with them about the realities of DJ-ing. Young people appreciate honesty. "
Ross Mc Gill, Cross-Border Project Co-ordinator, Lifford-Cloneligh Resource Centre, LIfford, Co Donegal.

“I thought it was very helpful, good craic and I learned a new skill.”
DJ course participant, age 14, Tullyally

"It was really hard but he (Kwa) was patient with us. It was brilliant to hear our recordings at the end of the course."
DJ course female participant, age 16, from Galliagh

Kwa's enthusiasm and passion for djing is infectious. His workshops are highly engaging and inspirational for pupils of all ages with many pursuing Djing for their GCSE and A' level performance and as a hobby outside school."
"He has greatly improved the confidence, concentration and motivation of diasaffected pupils, enthusing them and giving them a positive focus."
Moira Birgen (Music Dep, Oakgrove Integrated College)

"Djing is a subtle art form that demands disapline and commitment. It is these two qualities in particular that benefit the young people. Musically they delve into sound on a deep level and terms such as tempo, pitch and mixing become second nature to them. Finally they have creative license over what they choose and this sense of ownership is essential if they are to take responsibility for their own learning and enjoyment"
Brendan McGinn (Head Of Music, St Columbs College.)

Hi there! we're IndieJam a new website(www.indiejam.org) that promotes indie and unsigned musicians worldwide for FREE.

We are a group of musicians from all over the globe that got together to start this cause. we do this simply because we believe that music is made to be heard.and with the countless number of talents out there.there is no stopping us.
The more people we invite to join the cause, the more people will support the artists and musicians that join us.

IndieJam has just started a network with ning (www.indiejam.ning.com) where all the artists, labels and supporters can sign up and join our cause.all artists and musicians who sign up and upload their stuff are all automatically featured in our main website and all our other networks.

Join us and support our cause to support artists and musicians worldwide.

Thank you and keep the music playing.
