About:: Half-Portuguese, half-Irish Montrealer Sarah Linhares Lahey was born in Ottawa, but has always embraced tropical flavors, be it bruk-Brazilian beats, Latin pianos, or Afro-Cuban percussion. In September 2007 she was granted a highly coveted spot as a participant in the 2007 Red Bull Music Academy in Toronto. There, she collaborated with a diverse roster of talented musicians from every corner of the globe, while attending lectures and workshops with a wide range of music industry artists and visionaries. Having recently recorded an album in Venezuela with Wayne Tennant and Brian D’Oliveira as Soltribe, she keeps her vocal chords supple writing new material that will find it’s way on to her forthcoming debut release. She is currently about to drop a digital single with Soltribe called “Pura Vida” on Public Transit Recordings, featuring a Fred Everything remix. A Remix from Bugz in The Attic alumnus Daz-I-Kue is also on the horizon. Look for Sarah’s voice on Moonstarr’s upcoming full length on PTR as well.
