Vanguardia Sonora is the latin ensemble behind the hands of San Juan based Dj/Producer Juan Mauricio "Chuki" Rojas. Friends, musicians and vocalists from across the globe join him as he fuses contemporary beats with traditional latin rhythms and modern production aesthetics. In this this first E.P he features Totin Agosto who along with such guests as Rosanna Rodriguez, Diego Centeno, Frankie Perez, Jephte Guillaumem Max Maldonado and Joni Love take us on an energetic future rumba excursion that has traces of afro beat, house, bruk and latin jazz sensibilities.

Luis F. Totin Agosto is a reknowned rumba singer from Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico who has has recorded and performed with such luminaries as Los Majaderos de Cachete Maldonado, Paoli Mejias, Giovanni Hidalgo, Bugz in the Attic, Yubaire, and Rumbarraza among others. Agosto began singing rumba in the 80's as a result of having a deep passion for music that drove him to host radio shows and amass a large collection of music from all styles ranging from latin jazz to classic rock. In 2003 Juan Mauricio Rojas meets Totin and they proceed to collaborate and perform on a number of proyects. this E.P is the first of many to come.
