London pt 1 - Worldwide Awards + whatnot

left the States on the 3rd + had a day in London to chill before Gilles' Worldwide Awards -

London does now kinda feel like a second home esp when my phone starts ringing the moment I land + I'm off with Simbad, Kuni, Kay Suzuki, Nikki Yeoh or Ben Westbeech!!

feels real cool to have peeps over there man -

so I did the first of many radio spots with Nikki Yeoh on piano - 1st night was @ her place listening to that dope grand + rehearsing -

then went to Cargo home of dope graf + ill music!

highlights were meeting everyone including the Portico Quartet who are really, really, really fucking good + nice chaps as well!

Jay Electronica's performance art had me on a surprising roller coaster of emotions which fulfilled my art-test rule - does it make you feel something?

he's a really cool guy as well who looks a bit like Sidney Poitier from the profile -

I got a chance to drop vocals with Chrisitan Pommers Drumlesson - a sick outfit from Germany -

the track was "Strings of Life" + I had spent about three days working up lyrics over their instrumental -

maybe they weren't the right vibe for them as they just asked me to scat a bit during the middle - no problem

gotta say when I stepped on the stage + got that love from the crowd that was the happiest I've felt in a long time!

it was a pretty dope track + I was just happy to add my voice to the general vibe!

2 Banks of 4 was ill -

mad people were there man - you were there too, so you know!
