Welcome to a challenging and exciting journey of four Black British individuals that where born in the 70’s. Rosetha Claxton (RJC Dance Productions/Attitude Dancers), Angela Parkes (Black Inspirations), Psykhomantus (A Hiphopstory/The Early Years) and Sure Shot (). Bass Festival (Slam Champion).
Revisit the nostalgic moments in time to the present day and travel the journey through dance, dj-ing and spoken word, some of the integral parts of black voice and story.
See the transition of sound and form from the turntablism of Mantus, the growth in body and movement from the grace of Rosetta Claxton and Angela Parks, the narration of black voice and expression as recited in the words of Sure shot.
A memory Lane masterpiece by four emerging artists living their dreams and aspirations and now telling them to you.
70’s to the present day through Dance and Music. Experience the influences and inspirations of these artistes that has made them what they are today and enjoy the area where “Fame” (the classic TV show), was once an all time favourite, Janet Jackson was a young girl’s dream, Michael Jackson ruled the dance floor, the Hip-Hop Culture was the super cool, the Ragga scene was running ting’s by the sounds of Shabba Ranks all the way to the modern scene of today.
