With a line-up that rivals the most established clubland venues across the UK, the night will feature a succession of heavy weight DJ’s & Producers coming together for one night only, to celebrate T. Maronie’s 30th birthday in true musical style.

Tayo Maronie has established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the UK house music scene making her presence known on-air, off-air and within the music retail industry. A resident DJ on London’s premier station ‘House FM’, presenting her popular Thursday night ‘Music Talks – Can You Hear It’ show, T. Maronie mixes it up in her own inimitable style, jamming hard alongside her regular listeners who tune in from North Wheezy to New York! When off-air and in her role as the only female buyer at the internationally acclaimed online specialist record store Juno Records, T has always got her ear to the ground for the latest floor fillers, ensuring Juno Records maintain their prestigious Number 1 spot in the marketplace.

As a dedicated music lover it was inevitable that T. Maronie would take it to the streets, securing bookings the length and breadth of the UK and playing storming sets at venues including Herbal, Ministry Of Sound, AKA and Global Soul. It was during this time ‘on the road’ that T. Maronie cemented some of her firmest musical alliances with many top names in the game, who have subsequently become very good friends. It is this collective of friends, comprised of prestigious DJ’s and innovative producers, who will be touching down for this one off special night of musical delight for the big one…T. Maronie’s 30th Birthday.

The night takes place at the popular ‘East Village’ in Shoreditch, which delivers a big club experience, courtesy of their state of the art EV Shuttlesound system, with a house party atmosphere. DJ’s ‘LadyBugz in the Attic’, the female contingent of the Bugz collective, will get the party started with Miss Callis, Katie B. a main set DJ in their own right and Marcia Carr, the girl with mad game, laying down some of the best house, rare grooves, soulful disco and jazzy groves.

Über DJ & producer Karizma also touches down at the event, promising to deliver his own eclectic selection of deep house, funky groves and soulful classics, uplifting the crowd and ensuring everyone reports to the dance-floor. The now legendary Phil Asher and Simbad will also play on then night, serving up their own unique mix of dance music and killer house beats.

Esteemed Hip-Hop specialist Spin Doctor, acclaimed for his successful night at SoulBrew, along with his in-depth musical knowledge & expertise, will also spin the decks on the night, playing everything from Hip-Hop & classic funk to Rare Groove and some big Disco bangers. Lisa Millett drops in to perform a one off live birthday PA and is sure to have the crowd singing along while Frankie Valentine, Kyri (R2) Martin Lodge and Sy Sez will also be on hand to keep the party grooving. The line-up does not end there…the heavy weights on the night also include house music connoisseurs Neil P, Rap Saunders, Simon Lee and HouseFM’s finest Brother J, Jamesey, Andy J Omar and Alix John.

Due to popular demand and of course the unbelievable line-up the party will be open to music lovers in London, with £5 advance tickets available at ticketweb.co.uk, but get those tickets fast, as it will cost you £8 on the door, and with the heaviest line up announced so far for 2009 tickets are already selling fast.
