- Tone Control are soulful underground DJ / Production / Label duo Simon Finnegan & Marcus Harris. While the duo's Tone Control productions have received support from heavy weight house DJ's such as Kerri Chandler, Miguel Migs, Charles Webster, JT Donaldson and Demarkus Lewis, while also finding favour with more leftfield tastemakers such as Theo Parrish, Simbad, Bill Brewster, Domu, DK (solidsteel) and more.
Following singles on Grab Recordings and Hog Dogs in 2005, 2006 saw the release of their broken beat "Take it to the Top" EP" receiving support from Snowboy and Kev Beadle. 2007 saw a Tone Control remix for Jafar n Touch's "Don't Rush to Find Love" dropping on Universal Vibes, and two Tone Control EP's; "Sweetest Thing Love Thing remixes" and "Can't You Feel It", including remixes by Small Arms Fiya and re-edit don Mark E, Canada's Joe Silva, Aaron Roberts and Nutown Project among others! 2008 saw the much supported "Illusion" single release (inc remixes by The Rurals, Pablo Maritnez and Pedrosgroove), featuring heavyweight support from Kerri Chandler, Theo Parrish, Halo, Franck Roger, Mattias Heilbronn, Simbad, Domu and many more! Here's what Kerri Chandler had to say about the single:
"Like I said before it is one of my favorite songs, Even the way the song is put together is honestly what house is all about for me. It's got every element I love in one song, Dope Bass line, A different deep vocal , The sounds are hot (drums, even the way he made them swing, That Rhodes) all of it, In fact I'm doing a mix show soon for Traxsource its gonna me one of the first song I put on it. Everyone I play it for they freak out about it.

In 2008 Tone Control also produced a remix for The Rurals single; "I'm Lost", including further mixes from BRS and Ananda Project. Simon spent some time expanding the label roster towards the end of 2008, releasing singles by Love Over Money and Poussez vz. Demarkus Lewis ft. Hannah Kemoh including remixes by Atjazz and restless soul (aka Phil Asher and Mark de Clive-Lowe!).

In the mean time, you can catch Tone Control main man, Si Finnegan spinnin' records around the UK, including forthcoming gigs at MUAK and Inspiration Information, while he continues his monthly club residency along side Matty Archer, at Soul City in London www.soulcity.info, providing a full spectrum of soulful underground sounds to an intimate crowd of heads alongside a top flight roster of guests that has included Karizma, Joey Negro, Fanatix, DJ Spen, Bobby & Steve and many more.
